Awesome weekend for Thames !

The hard work by coach Liam paid dividends at the national championships this weekend.

Thames are the 200m mixed national champions and also took bronze in both the 200m open and 1000m open competition on day 1.

Day 2 saw equally strong performances taking 4th places in both 500m mixed and 500m open competitions.

 Overall we are the 2nd best mixed team in the UK and the 3rd best open team in the UK.

 Well done all! :o)

Thames Dragons pulled it out of the bag to grab 2nd places in both the 200m and 500m major finals with 100% commitment from the whole team!

 

It was a fitting goodbye to Thames stalwarts Jasmine Keick and Jonathan Mayes who move on to pastures new and green...

Thames Dragons were live on BBC London's Radio morning breakfast show on Saturday 4th September from their home regatta. Jonathan Mayes, Linda Barry, Stuart Low, Amy Li and Sue Menzies (from the BDA) were all interviewed for the feature about Dragon boat racing.

Many congratulations to Linda Barry and Jo Readshaw who paddled in the GB Women’s premier team that won gold in all 3 categories in Amsterdam(200m, 500m and 2000m). The team was superbly managed by Fiona Giacomini who ensured smooth running off the water.

 

Congratulations also to Claire Greenwood who as part of the GB Senior ladies took silver in the 200m and bronze in the 500m.
